The Bowdoin College cross country team showcased their determination and team spirit at the 2025 NESCAC Championship Meet, held at Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford, Connecticut. Despite facing challenges, the women's team secured a respectable seventh place, while the men's team, battling illness, finished in 11th place.
Women's Meet Highlights:
- The Polar Bears' women's team demonstrated their prowess in the 6k race, accumulating 210 points. They finished ahead of Wesleyan (182 points) and Bates (224 points), with Williams claiming the title with an impressive 32 team points.
- First-year athlete Laura White made a remarkable debut, securing 17th place with a time of 21:58.2, showcasing her exceptional talent.
- Kaylee Hale, Angelina Hickey, Andrea Becker, Tori Bacall, and Leta Griffith also contributed to the team's performance, finishing in 45th, 54th, 66th, 73rd, and 77th places, respectively.
Men's Meet Highlights:
- The men's team, unfortunately, fell short due to illness, finishing in 11th place in the 8k event.
- Seamus McDonough and Ashton Dunlap were the top performers, finishing in 29th and 94th places, respectively, with times of 25:18.6 and 26:31.3.
