Disney's Hollywood Studios is undergoing a dramatic transformation, and the latest development has fans divided! The iconic MuppetVision 3D facade is being stripped of its brick exterior, leaving many to wonder about the park's future. But is this change a cause for excitement or concern?
The construction walls at Muppets Courtyard, soon to be Monstropolis, have advanced further, revealing a significant alteration. Crews are diligently removing the bricks from the facade, a stark contrast to the previous update where only a few bricks had been taken down. Now, several yards of the facade above the main entrance are completely bare, with crew members hard at work.
And this is where it gets intriguing: Green markings on the left side of the photo hint at the planned extent of the brick removal. The concept art for the upcoming Monsters, Inc. land suggests that the building will retain a brick finish, but with a grand marquee addition. This current deconstruction might just be the prelude to that marquee's installation, adding a new layer of anticipation.
The changes don't stop there. The boxes atop the theater are being dismantled, with one already removed and the other stripped to its support frame. The construction walls have also shifted, causing the gelato stand to relocate across from the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant.
A controversial move: The Muppets will temporarily vacate their beloved spot, making way for Monsters, Inc. But fear not, Muppet fans! They will return to Hollywood Studios this summer, taking over the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster.
What do you think about this transition? Are you excited for the new Monsters, Inc. land, or do you prefer the classic MuppetVision 3D? Share your thoughts and keep the discussion going! Stay tuned for more updates on this evolving Disney adventure.
