The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has emerged as the sole major supplier of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) to the local market. This reliance on a single source has retailers and consumers on edge. Adesola, a retailer in Abeokuta, Ogun State, expresses the growing concern, "The LPG supply situation is uncertain. We're not seeing any significant improvements, and it's leaving us in the dark about what's to come."
And here's where it gets controversial: The price of cooking gas has already skyrocketed across the country, reaching between N1,200 and N1,500 per kilogram, a sharp rise from the previous N900/kg. This surge was partly due to the industrial dispute between the Dangote Refinery and the Petroleum
