It’s also wise to inspect your holiday treats for any damage caused by rodents before the big day.’ But here’s where it gets controversial: while overwintering insects are generally harmless, finding wasps, cluster flies, or even moths in your attic could be more than just a nuisance. If you spot droppings, urine odors, or gnaw marks, don’t stop there. Rats and mice have a constant need to chew, so check for damage to wood, pipes, and cables.
