Get ready, Trainers! Pokémon GO is gearing up for an exciting Wild Area event in 2025, and it's packed with new adventures and rewards! Following the recent Halloween event, Niantic is keeping the momentum going with a series of in-game events designed to keep players engaged. This time, the Wild Area is taking us to Nagasaki, Japan, with a global event to boot. Let's dive into the details!
Pokémon GO Wild Area: Nagasaki
Nagasaki will be the host city for the 2025 Wild Area, offering a unique experience for players. A new GO Stamp Rally will allow players to visit real-world landmarks across the city and collect digital stamps. An event map is already available online, so trainers can start planning their routes.
But here's where it gets exciting: a new Pokémon will debut at the live event! Players can look forward to encountering Shiny Unown K. You can use Incense to attract this new character during the event, but remember, the Daily Adventure Incense won't work. Also, this encounter is exclusive to ticket-holding players in Nagasaki.
To enhance the experience, players can purchase add-ons, which include extended play days, boosted bonuses, and even an event shirt, available all weekend.
Pokémon GO Wild Area: Global
This year's Wild Area: Global adds a unique twist: a branched Special Research story. Players will choose between the Dark Detective and the Fairy Fanatic themes. Each choice offers a medal and bonuses.
- Dark Detective: Earn this medal and receive:
- One more Candy XL (for Trainers level 31+)
- 1,000 Stardust
- Fairy Fanatic: Earn this medal and receive:
- One more Candy XL (for Trainers level 31+)
- 1,000 Stardust
Additional Offerings
During the Wild Area 2025 event, participants can expect Supply Balloons to appear every hour. There will also be new avatar items to collect, so get ready to customize your trainer!
Availability and Important Reminders
The Pokémon GO Wild Area 2025 in Nagasaki runs from November 7 to November 9. Wild Area: Global will take place from November 15 (10 AM) to November 16 (6 PM) local time.
As always, Niantic reminds everyone to be mindful of their surroundings and local guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable gaming experience.

Niantic has also confirmed that a Pokémon HOME update is coming soon, allowing players to transfer Pokémon caught in GO Safari Balls to Pokémon HOME. After the transfer, each GO Safari Ball will look different compared to how it appeared in Pokémon GO.
