Triple Eight Unveils 2026 Red Bull Ford Mustang Race Livery | First Look & Driver Reactions (2026)

Triple Eight has unveiled a striking new Red Bull Ford Mustang race livery, marking a significant moment in the team's history. This 2026 design is a subtle yet impactful evolution from the previous year's colors, incorporating key elements that signify the team's new partnership with Ford. The livery features blue stripes down the sides, a nod to Ford Racing, with a subtle contrast to the matte blue of Red Bull, the team's co-naming rights partner. This subtle change adds a touch of sophistication to the overall aesthetic.

One of the most notable changes is the transition from last year's white side skirts to a dual-tone blue design. This shift in color scheme not only enhances the visual appeal but also symbolizes the team's commitment to innovation and collaboration. Additionally, the front wheel arches now bear the branding of Adidas, marking a new merchandise collaboration and adding a fresh dimension to the team's sponsorship lineup.

The unveiling took place at the 'Ignition On' event in Geelong, the spiritual home of the Ford Motor Company in Australia. This setting was particularly fitting, as it allowed the team to celebrate their new look in front of Ford fans, racing enthusiasts, and their own supporters. Triple Eight's managing director, Jamie Whincup, expressed his excitement, highlighting the immense effort that went into the development of these cars over the off-season.

Whincup emphasized the team's achievements, including the completion of an engine shop, the setup of an engine program, aero testing, car building, and the overall preparation for the racing season. He proudly acknowledged the collective effort of the team, stating, 'That's no small feat and I'm really proud of everyone that's been involved to get us to this point.'

The new livery was well-received by both Red Bull Ampol Racing drivers, Broc Feeney and Will Brown. Feeney, who will pilot the #88 Mustang, praised the design, stating, 'It's a different look for 2026, we've gone with the Ford Racing stripes which look great.' He further emphasized the significance of the design, saying, 'It's cool to have a change for this season. It's cool to see our first Red Bull Ampol Racing livery on a Ford Mustang.'

Brown, who switches to #888 for this season, shared his enthusiasm, saying, 'Look at that livery on the car for this season! To be honest, I love it, it's come up fantastic overall.' He particularly appreciated the new #888 design, stating, 'My favorite part is the new #888, I'm very excited to run that this year and it's nice there on the window. I'm stoked about it.'

Triple Eight will field three cars this year, with the two RBAR entries alongside the customer Objective Racing Mustang. This diverse lineup reflects the team's commitment to competition and their ability to adapt to different racing environments. As the season unfolds, fans can expect to see these cars in action, showcasing the new livery and the team's dedication to excellence.
